This was absolutely beautiful; the imagery, as always, was stunning. The distinct bird calls and the sound of the stream flowing made it even more immersive; I could almost hear and feel the world around the characters. I especially loved how you shifted the idea of “home” from being a place or a person to being a feeling in itself, that was such a thoughtful reframing.
The world-building is wonderfully balanced too, rich and vivid without ever feeling overwhelming or slow.
